About

A small team of makers who test everything before it's published.

Crochet & DIY Corner started in 2019 as a shared Google Doc of crochet patterns between three friends. It grew into what you see today: a small independent publication covering crochet patterns, tutorials, DIY home decor, and yarn reviews for makers who care about quality more than quantity.

We publish because there is a real gap in the craft internet: too many patterns are copied without credit, too many “beginner tutorials” assume knowledge you don't have, and too many “easy” projects fall apart the first time you wash them. Everything on this site is stitched, blocked and photographed in our studio before publication. If we haven't made it, you won't find it here.

What we stand for

  • Free means free. Every pattern on this site is free to read, print and use for personal projects. We support the site through affiliate links and light advertising — never paywalls.
  • Plain-English tutorials. Craft language is a barrier. We write pattern instructions the way a friend would teach you at their kitchen table.
  • Test then publish. Nothing is theoretical. If we wrote about it, we made it, washed it, and photographed it.
  • Credit the source. Where a technique or motif comes from a specific tradition or designer, we say so — and link back.

Editorial standards

Every article is reviewed against our editorial policy, which covers testing, source citation, factual review and updates. If we get something wrong, we fix the article and note the correction at the bottom of the page.
